Gait Sensing
Using a network of pressure sensitive floor tiles Tactex has created a series of floor sensors suitable for sensing human gait pattern and foot pressure. Tactex floor sensors come in a variety of "kit" sizes and sensitivities. Floor sensor kits start at 12" square. Custom sensor configurations available up to 45 tiles. Large Surface Sensing
Kinotex sensors are also available in a fully flexible format for monitoring movement over a large surface area. The Tactex Large Sensor Array is a 26"x 28" flexible pad with 44 independent interface pressure sensors. The Large Sensor Array is capable of detecting range of motion and distinguishing between types of movements (full-contact, partial contact, minute movement, rolling etc).
